On Monday, the Indian equity market closed the day in negative territory with the Nifty 50 opening at 22,824.35, reaching a high of 22,851.70, and closing at 22,512.65, down 2.60%. Similarly, the BSE Sensex opened at 73,732.58, reached a high of 73,732.58, and ended at 72,696.39, down by 2.46%.
