Marico Appoints Bhaskar Bhat as Independent Director for Five-Year Term
Marico Limited appointed Bhaskar Bhat as an Additional Director in the capacity of Independent Director for a five-year term from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2030. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors on August 13, 2025, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee. The appointment is subject to shareholder approval through a postal ballot process. Bhat has over four decades of corporate experience and was previously Managing Director of Titan Company Limited from April 2002 until his retirement in September 2019. Under his leadership, Titan expanded its portfolio to include eyewear, accessories, fragrances and sarees, with the company's market cap reaching $13 billion in 2019. Bhat is a graduate of IIT Madras in Mechanical Engineering and holds a PGDBM from IIM Ahmedabad. He currently serves as Independent Chairman of Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited and as Independent Director of Metro Brands Limited, Lucas TVS Limited and Orange County Resorts & Hotels Limited.
Dabur Promoter Asha Burman Reports Changes in Indirect Shareholding Through Family Transfers
Asha Burman, a promoter of Dabur India Ltd, disclosed changes in her indirect shareholding in the company through her stake in Gyan Enterprises Private Limited, a promoter entity holding 10.90% of Dabur India. Through a series of family transfers between 2017 and 2025, Burman's indirect holding in Dabur changed from 9.18% to 1.91%. Key transactions included transferring 185,900 equity shares (59.97%) of Gyan to her son Amit Burman in December 2017, acquiring 15,482 shares (5%) back from him in December 2018, transferring 38,706 shares (12.50%) to her daughter Gauri Tandon in September 2023, and acquiring another 15,483 shares (5%) from her son in August 2025. Burman currently holds 54,189 equity shares representing 17.50% of Gyan Enterprises. All transactions were conducted through gifts and inter-family transfers. The overall promoter group shareholding in Dabur remains at 66.22%.

Britannia Industries Reports 9.8% Revenue Growth in Q1 FY26 Amid Commodity Price Stabilization
Britannia Industries achieved 9.8% revenue growth and 3% profit after tax growth in Q1 FY26, with consolidated revenue reaching INR 4,535 crores. The company gained market share in 5 out of 7 regions, with Hindi belt states showing particularly strong performance at 2.7x growth compared to other states. Rural growth reached double digits while urban growth was in high single digits. The company faced distribution challenges in the East region due to internal restructuring but expects recovery. Commodity prices showed mixed trends - flour inflation at 8%, palm oil inflation at 45% year-on-year, and cocoa inflation at 35%, though sequential trends were more stable. Premium product salience increased by 310 basis points driven by innovations including Pure Magic Stars, Harry Potter products, and new launches like Pure Magic Choco Tarts and 100% Millet NutriChoice. Adjacency businesses performed well with rusk showing high double-digit growth, croissant achieving mid-20s growth and reaching breakeven, and dairy showing 40% growth in general trade. Quick commerce now represents 75% of the company's e-commerce business at 4% of total sales. The company reported a SAR revaluation impact of INR 52 crores and expects more stable commodity conditions ahead.
