What is Tata SIP Calculator?

The Tata SIP calculator is an online tool that can be used to figure out the future value of systematic investment plans made in Tata Mutual Fund schemes. You enter the amount you invest per month, your anticipated yearly gain, and how long your investments last.

The calculator then estimates the future value of your investment. This is a valuable tool for planning your investments and getting an idea about what kind of returns you can expect to see on them.

What is the Use of TATA SIP Calculator?

Because of various reasons, the Tata SIP calculator is a very useful tool.

This adaptability allows you to make well-thought-out choices and customize your investment plan in line with your financial targets.

3. Choose Suitable Funds

This feature helps you choose from Tata mutual fund schemes that best suit your investment goals.

providing a list of suitable funds, the calculator simplifies the decision-making process, making it easier for you to select the right fund for your financial objectives.

The calculator shows how your SIP investment grows exponentially over the long term due to compounding, helping you visualize the potential growth of your investment and the importance of investing for the long term

How can TATA SIP Calculator Help You?

How are Returns in TATA SIP Calculated?

The TATA SIP calculates revenue by using XIRR (extended internal rate of return). XIRR is an Excel formula that computes the interest rate for a series of cash flows that occur at irregular intervals.

The XIRR formula is as follows:

=XIRR(values, dates, [guess])

Where:

  • values represent the series of cash flows.
  • dates are the specific dates that correspond to each cash flow.
  • guess is an initial estimate of what the IRR will be.

This formula uses an iterative method to calculate XIRR. It starts off with a guess and then repeatedly does the calculation until it gets within 0.000001% (accurate). This can be used to determine the value of an investment over time or whether a project with irregularly timed cash flows is viable.
