IHCL Targets 15% Revenue Contribution from Ginger Brand, Acquires Stakes in Clarks Hotels
Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) expects its Ginger brand to contribute 15% to revenue with increasing profitability. The company's board approved acquiring 51% stakes in ANK Hotels and Pride Hospitality, which operate 135 hotels under The Clarks Hotels & Resorts brand. CEO Puneet Chhatwal stated that majority growth comes from the mid-market segment, with plans to make Ginger the strongest mid-market brand within 12-18 months through 250-plus hotels. The company targets over Rs 1,000 crore revenue from Ginger on a 12-month trailing basis. The acquisitions align with IHCL's 'accelerate 2030' growth strategy and asset-light approach, targeting Tier-2, Tier-3 cities, spiritual destinations, and metro cities to serve middle-class accommodation needs.

Gold Prices Hold Above Rs 1 Lakh Mark Amid US Tariff Uncertainty
Gold October futures on MCX traded at Rs 1,00,253 per 10 grams, up 0.07%, maintaining levels above Rs 1 lakh as US tariff uncertainty drives safe-haven demand. Silver September contracts declined 0.07% to Rs 1,14,949 per kg. Both metals gained following US inflation data, supported by a weaker dollar index at 97.74 and declining US 10-year bond yields. Markets anticipate Federal Reserve rate cuts starting in September due to stressed job markets and manageable inflation levels. Analysts expect continued volatility due to tariff uncertainty and upcoming economic data releases. Gold is projected to trade between $3,340-3,540 per troy ounce, while silver may range from $36.80-40.00 per troy ounce. Physical gold prices vary across Indian cities, with 22-carat gold ranging from Rs 56,624-57,984 per 8 grams.
