MTF to Delivery Conversion
Process, charges and more
Your MTF to Delivery conversion may be rejected if you don’t have sufficient margin in your account.
At the time of conversion, you need to maintain the funded amount + any MTM (Mark-to-Market) loss.
For example:
🔹 If you bought 100 shares at ₹1,000 each (total ₹1,00,000), using ₹25,000 of your own funds and ₹75,000 via MTF
Now, if the share price drops to ₹850 during conversion, the total value becomes ₹85,000, which means an MTM loss of ₹15,000.
🔹 To convert this position, you must have ₹75,000 (funded amount) + ₹15,000 (MTM loss) = ₹90,000 in your account.
If your available margin is less than this, the conversion request will be unsuccessful.
📝 Note: The funded amount is used only during conversion. Any excess funds will remain in your ledger.
