MF Redemptions
Redemption timelines, status and more
The amount you receive after redeeming a mutual fund can sometimes be slightly lower than expected due to a few reasons:
- Market movement (NAV change)
Mutual funds are processed based on the applicable NAV. If the market moves between your redemption request and the final processing time, the NAV may be lower, which affects the final amount.
If your redemption request is placed before 3:00 PM, the same day’s NAV is applied (subject to processing)
If placed after 3:00 PM, the next business day’s NAV is applied
- Exit load (if applicable)
Some funds charge an exit load if units are redeemed within a specific period. This is deducted from your redemption amount.
Final amount = Units redeemed × Applicable NAV − Exit load (if any)
