MF Switch
Switch
✅ Yes — but only after the lock-in period.
ELSS schemes come with a mandatory 3-year lock-in for each investment or SIP instalment.
During this period, you cannot redeem or switch those units.
Once the 3 years are over:
🔹 You can switch your ELSS units from Regular → Direct plan
🔹 The switch is processed as a redemption + reinvestment, so capital gains tax may apply
🔹 By then, exit load usually doesn’t apply — but it’s always best to check your scheme’s rules
⚠️ Note: On switching ELSS, a fresh 3-year lock-in will apply.
💡 Pro Tip: If you have ongoing ELSS SIPs in Regular plans on other platforms, you can.
