Journal P&L and Tax Reports

🔹The Buy Average is calculated using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method. This means that when you sell shares, the oldest shares you purchased are considered sold first, and the average cost of those shares is used to calculate your overall cost. The new buy average is then recalculated based on the remaining shares in your holdings.
🔹As for the P&L (Profit & Loss) discrepancy between the Journal and Web/App, it can occur due to differences in the calculation methods. The Journal might show a different P&L because it calculates the profit or loss based on the realized and unrealized positions, using the FIFO method. On the other hand, the Web/App might show an updated P&L that reflects the latest market price and any adjustments made, potentially using a different method or timeframe for calculations.
