Order Rejections
Why was your order rejected?
Every stock has a defined tick size (minimum price movement allowed by the exchange). If you place an order price that is not in multiples of this tick size, the order will be rejected with the message:
“The order price is not a multiple of the tick size”.
You can check the tick size of any scrip on the NSE website.
For example:
If tick size is ₹0.05, valid prices are ₹100.00, ₹100.05, ₹100.10, etc.
An order at ₹100.07 will be rejected.
