If you're new to investing and have received Rights Entitlements (REs) from a company or purchased them from the market, you can apply for the corresponding rights shares using the following methods:
🏦 1. Online ASBA (Applications Supported by Blocked Amount)
If your bank supports the ASBA facility, you can apply online through your bank's net banking portal.
💰 The application amount will be blocked in your bank account and debited only upon allotment of shares.
📝 2. Offline ASBA
If your bank does not support online ASBA, you can apply offline, ensuring you have all required information like:
📄 Demat account details
🧾 PAN
When submitting the form.
🌐 3. Online RWAP (Rights Issue Web Application Platform)
If your bank doesn't support ASBA, use the online RWAP facility provided by the company’s RTA. Here's how:
🔹 Visit the RTA's website during the rights issue window
🔹 Register your email ID and mobile number
🔹 Provide your PAN and demat account details
🔹 Select the rights issue and enter the number of shares to apply for
🔹 Make payment via UPI, NEFT, or RTGS
🔹 Submit your application ✅
📌 Key Points to Remember:
📅 Apply Before Deadline
Ensure you apply for the rights shares before the application window closes.
⛔ Unutilized REs
If you don’t apply or sell REs within the specified period, they will lapse and be removed from your portfolio.
💸 No Charges
There are typically no charges to apply for rights shares through ASBA or RWAP.
👥 Eligibility
Only shareholders holding actual equity shares on the record date are eligible for REs. Holding F&O positions does not entitle you to these benefits.
