Rent Stocks
Stock renting and Borrowing
The yield shows your annual return percentage. It's calculated by taking your rental income, dividing it by the stock value, adjusting for the actual rental period, and converting it to a yearly rate for easy comparison.
Example:
You rent out stocks worth ₹1,00,000
You earn ₹500 as rental income
Rental period is 30 days
Yield = (500 ÷ 1,00,000) × (365 ÷ 30) × 100
= 0.005 × 12.17 × 100 = 6.08% (approx)
